The first fire happened in the parking lot at St. Andrew Catholic Education Center on Wrights Road around 7:45 a.m., police said. The vehicle was unoccupied and there were no injuries or damages to other property, authorities wrote.

The second blaze broke out on a Council Rock School District bus with 36 students and one driver onboard, according to police.

It happened on the 500 block of Penns Park Road around 8:45 a.m. and all 37 people were safely evacuated without injuries, officials said. A secondary bus was dispatched to take the students to school.

Council Rock administrators said they contacted parents of affected students about the incident.

Newtown police said neither fire appears to be suspicious and that both incidents are under investigation.
